Full Controller Job Description

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Position: 

The Controller reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. The Controller job responsibilities include (but not exclusive): 

• Complete all primary Payroll responsibilities, including Benefit Elections, Commissions and 401k.
• Complete daily Human Resource responsibilities, including compliance and documentation.
• Evaluate inventory costs months and verify bills of materials are updated in financial software system
• Maintain and reconcile monthly inventory, including off-site inventory.
• Assist in preparing bids and project proposals.
• Prepare monthly internal and external financial statements.
• Assist in preparing financial analysis and reporting, presented in monthly management presentations to ownership.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and research and resolve differences by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures
  
• Assist and interact with external auditors in completing audits.
• Lead due diligence and integration of finance responsibilities, including financial software implementation, for acquisitions
• Primary lead on managing and maintaining NetSuite, the Company’s financial software
• Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development

Skills / Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
• Strong ability to analyze information and present ideas and information accurately and concisely.
• Attention to detail, Deadline-Oriented, Analytical Skills, Time Management
• Quality-focused and results-driven
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook
• Two years of experience with NetSuite
